Meet the Inspector

Hi, I’m David Taylor, owner and operator of Taylored Inspections, LLC.

I’ve proudly called Baton Rouge home for over 20 years, and I bring more than 16 years of hands-on experience in the construction and inspection industry to every job I take on.

 

After earning my degree from LSU, I began my career in commercial construction. Following Hurricane Katrina, I played a key role in helping New Orleans recover—renovating hotels and restaurants, assessing storm damage, and estimating construction costs.

 

I later joined the facilities team at a Louisiana state college, where I managed building restorations to get students back in classrooms. I designed educational spaces, worked closely with architects and engineers, and delivered complete infrastructure solutions.

 

For a decade, I served as a project manager for K-12 school renovations and new construction in the aftermath of Hurricane Gustav. I helped secure over $10 million in funding for facility repairs, leading teams to develop smart, long-term solutions for both renovations and new builds.

 

In recent years, I’ve overseen roofing programs and inspections across more than 100 multi-building sites while continuing to manage diverse construction projects. My background as a project manager and estimator gives me a unique, in-depth perspective that I bring to every inspection.
