Meet the Inspector

Hi, I'm David Taylor, owner, and operator of Taylored Inspections, LLC. Baton Rouge has been my home for 20+ years. 

 

After graduating from LSU, I immediately went into the commercial construction industry.

 

Shortly following Hurricane Katrina, I helped get New Orleans back to some sense of normalcy through renovating hotels and restaurants. I also assessed damages and estimated construction costs. 

 

Joining the facilities team at one of Louisiana's state colleges, I managed low rise building restorations to help bring their facilities back online and get students back to their studies after the hurricane. During my time there I designed classrooms, labs, and office spaces as well as worked with architects, engineers, and contractors to provide total building infrastructure systems.  

 

I spent 10 years as a project manager for K-12 renovations and new construction for a local school system after Hurricane Gustav. I helped to secure over ten million dollars in funding to repair school facilities using best practices for reporting and documentation. I worked with design and construction teams to investigate and find quality solutions for renovations, new construction, facility maintenance, and other construction issues. 

 

As a construction professional and estimator for the past 16 years, I've continued to gain experience in overseeing the roofing program and inspections for over 100 multi-building sites across the district while managing construction projects.

The report is your view of the current condition of the property. I explain unfamiliar systems and present ways to correct or avoid problems that can occur in the future.
